Bel Wardle

As a youngster, Bel loved playing every sport – if you can name it, she’s probably tried it! She started out on a track into professional tennis but after starting Saturday morning golf sessions with Mark Pilling at Prestbury when she was nine, the dream changed and Bel’s dream was to be a professional golfer.

In 2019, Bel had nearly ten top 10s and moved into the top 40 in the world amateur golf rankings. She won the Cheshire Championship, taking her to the Champion of Champions, which she also won. During the year her aim was to get selected to play for GB&I in the Vagliano Trophy. She achieved this with the help of coach Richard Green, personal trainer Drew Roberts (Neon PT) and the support of Physiofit.

2020, like many athletes was challenging for Bel with the restrictions on playing, training and travelling, but this hasn’t stopped her and whilst there have been limited competitive opportunities, Bel has been training hard in the gym to get stronger for the 2021 season.
