Remy picked up his first golf club aged 2 and his desire to play the game built from there. Aged 9, he was Cheshire County’s youngest ever recruit joining the Under 14 squad. Aged 13, he finished 6th in the European Junior Open, in Andalucia. Other notable results such as tied 3rd in the English U16’s at Hawkstone Park, 7th in the McGregor trophy and then became the youngest ever winner of the Tytherington Club’s Men’s Club Championships, aged 15.
Remy received his first call up to play for England in Sept 2017 and was part of the winning team in this International match against Scotland held at Montrose GC. In May 2019 he travelled to Germany to the Allianz German Boys Open to represent England, as part of a three man team, in the Nations Cup. The 2019 season brought a number of top 20 finishes in International events, including a 5th place in the Fairhaven Trophy. He has also qualified for the Final of the English Men’s Champion Club, where he will represent Prestbury Golf Club in the hope of winning and representing England in the European Men’s Club Trophy.
Remy is looking forward to a winter season of hard practice, coupled with regular strength and conditioning sessions to support game development and help minimise his risk of injury. With the support of his coaches and Physiofit, Remy is aiming for a high performing 2020 season and his goal is to convert some of the high finishes into tournament wins.
