Leanne is a highly skilled physiotherapist, committed to continuous learning. She has completed targeted MSc modules in Evidence-Based Approaches to Neurological Rehabilitation, Stroke, and Elderly Rehabilitation at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Leanne demonstrates commitment to her specialist field and has undergone comprehensive neurotherapy training including the Bobath Course.
Leanne has a specialist interest in the recovery of the upper limb in the neurological patient and has completed specialist training focused on optimising this.
Leanne is also competent in the application of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and Saebo as an adjunct to traditional therapies. In her current role with the Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO), she undertakes a lead clinical role for physiotherapy within the South Manchester Community Stroke Team.
She ensures the efficient provision of specialised stroke services in the community. Leanne’s focus remains on facilitating highly specialised care to enhance patients’ quality of life.
